Who Needs Friends

Joe has amnesia today as he bites a "Friend of the Family" from their OC days.  Here is what he said when posting about the Dough Roller burning while he was giving us the NEWS first.

Some are saying it started at Playland, some are saying it started upstairs in the apartments above Dough Rollers, Billy Gibbs, (Owner of Dough Rollers) stated there was no one living upstairs but I just got an inside report that there was a young lady and a friend allegedly living up there

Remember this quote?

"The Gibbs have always been wonderful to our children as well as thousands of others. Keith, thier General Manager and Partner of this location also treated our kids very well over the years. It's a sad sight to see this building burn."

Today, I read that the same person who made the above quote is now bitching because Mr. Gibbs is not planning to add employee housing to his new building.  He also said that it was costing the employees $75 per person per week to rent a room! And they actually had to share the room with someone! The gall of Mr. Gibbs to have charged those kids $75 for a roof over their head!  And it REALLY takes nerve to not include housing in the new building!

I'm not certain, but is it a requirement for business owners in Ocean City to supply housing?  Sure it’s nice, but I'd consider that a Perk, not a requirement.  Of course, I also read that the other blogger had children or stepchildren or whatever, who worked at and lived at the restaurant.  That he is now affectionately calling "Dough Blowers".  I'm thinking that if they all pooled the money that they annually paid in fines, they could have all got together and rented themselves a condo. He even starts to make more accusations in the comments like this one.

Getting back to the main point here though, this is an Insurance payoff. They should rebuild what they had, even if it's for historical purposes. They're going to, (from the picture) build a standard store front stucco building, cheap and crappy because I believe they're getting out of the business in the not so distant future.

On that note, the building would be worth so much more money. I wonder why they were persuaded to take less back in return, unless they weren't properly insured?????

Some friend wouldn't you say.

Billy wouldn't know Albero if he walked up and smacked him on the forehead. I've known Billy for years and I can say without hesitation that he doesn't know Joseph. This was all made up by Joe to make himself to look again like someone in the know. Other than being the biggest liar known to man, he's also the biggest name dropper.

Joe,
The fire started with an unattended ceramic heater in an upstairs apartment, closest to in between the two buildings. This information came from Mr. & Mrs. Gibbs' mouths just one day after the fire. I never heard or asked anything since then. This information was given to me in my office the day after the fire from a customer of mine, which happens to be a manager of one of the Dough Rollers.

You see...further proof that shitforbrains only claim to knowing the Gibbs family is through one of his mutant offspring working there one summer. You can bet your ass that he won't allow anymore comments on that post. His girl Sunny shoved that one up his ass.

In order for Bill to rebuild in time to reopen for the Spring 2009 season he HAD to go with one story.
There simply is not enough time to build a larger building.
PLUS, it is more expensive to rebuild with housing above, MUCH more expensive.

So Joe and Anon 8:11 want Bill to spend HIS money to rebuild what was there.
That would also cost them in lost business as they would not be able to open for the 2009 season.

If Bill were to rebuild with housing over the restaurant, BUILT TO TODAY's STANDARDS, he could not make the money back to pay for the construction costs. NOBODY would want to rent there, it is too noisy, and there is NO PARKING.

The City Code will not allow anyone to build housing that summer employees can afford to rent.
By the time a builder conforms to all of the code requirements, the rent to recoup the construction costs are WAY more than what the workers can pay.
It would be economic folly for a property owner to try to recoup those costs by collecting low rent over many years, it is a poor investment. He would be better off putting his money from the increased construction costs into an investment portfolio (buy Exxon/Mobile stock for example). Hell's Bells, the increase in real estate taxes (for the new and improved building) would preclude cheap rent.

I noticed on another blog that some TURD said that Bill had replacement insurance.
I do not know that and I bet the TURD does not know that. Most insurance is NOT full replacement value, but rather 80% thereof, or some fixed sum.
But even if it was the City will not let him replace what was there, the City will make him rebuild to TODAY's standards, which represents a much larger investment.

By the way, I went to school with Bill Gibbs from Grade 1 thru (the first 6 grades were in City Hall, where we had to endure Nellie P. Kelly with the Big Fat Belly in Grade 6) Grade 12. We quit calling him "Billy" after he made his first Million Dollars.

How is this any business of anyone's but the owner? Our society is turning into a bunch of busy-bodies!

How do you enjoy your Turkey on Thanksgiving Day?

How close will the Presidential Election be in Electoral Votes?

If Joe gets advertisers, would you take your business else where because of it?

Who are you voting for in the 1st District? Andy Harris or Frank Kratovil

Has Joe gone to far with the leaked info on the deceased woman found in the Industrial Park?

Is Joe Stalking or In Love with Gary?

Should we back off the verbal attacks on family members unless they are involved with the posting?
